A couple of months ago I was visiting my friend Miki's blog and came across this post about an idea I found absolutely amazing... the Mix Share Swap organized by Bianca, from Good Night Little Spoon.
Participants had to make two mix CDs of at least 10 tracks and decotrated packaging and send them to two different people, receiving two other mixes in return from two other people... cool, huh? It took me a few minutes to decide to sign up :)
These are the CDs I made:
The one of the first photo was for Vivien, from Life Less Ordinary (Malaysia) and
the second one was for Shelly, from Phone Home (U.S.A.)
I thought it would be a good idea to give them a taste of Argentinian Rock & Roll music, so I recorded 20 tracks from different Argentinian singers or bands. It was pretty good and varied!
These are the ones I got:
One from Berenice, from Sueños en la Luna (U.S.A.), who prepared me a compilation of her favorite songs...
The best part of it? I love them and had never heard them before!
My second partner was Erin (U.S.A.) who sent me not only one but two compilations - one with Oldies (type of music that I love) and a Random Mix. They are absolutely great! :D
Thank you Bianca for such a cool idea! It was a pleasure for me to take part of this swap; to be able to share some Argentinian music with people who probably didn't know it and to receive these awesome CDs from my partners. I wish you all a lovely day!
